TO THOSE USING A VPN AS MAIN CONNECTION OR BACKUP
To connect via VPN, or in case of failure of the BT Radianz connection, the client application must use the VPN concentrator address 194.177.125.26 (Production) and 62.134.207.4 (Test and DR).
VPN session must use the following UDP ports:
- UDP 500
- Protocol ESP Bidirectional
- UDP4500
The VPN for e-MID connection is an IPSEC-based VPN using UDP ports, so it is not possible to use for this VPN normal HTTP proxy/cache (i.e. SQUID, Apache, etc).
If the proxy, on the contrary, acts also as router/firewall (i.e. ISA), and let UDP ports 500,4500 pass to the internet, then it is possible to use such a proxy.
