WHO CAN JOIN THE SCHEME
Banks with a Registered Office in Italy
e-MID members which have chosen the direct or indirect Automatic Settlement System in Target2 are admitted to the collateralized segment. Only one bank for each banking group may partecipate.
EU Banks
EU banks with remote access or with an Italian branch may participate in MIC provided their respective National Central Bank has signed an agreement with the Bank of Italy.
THREE STEPS TO JOIN
What to do to join the scheme:
1. subscribe and send the legal documentation to e-MID
2. provide the Bank of Italy with your member details
3. post the collateral in the scheme.
Non Italian banks shall previously contact the own National Central Bank, that will sign an agreement with the Bank of Italy.
